In plain language: This policy explains what cookies we use on cyray.io, why we use them, and what choices you have. 01Transparency Notice (Section 11, PPL)

Under Section 11 of the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (PPL), we are required to inform you clearly about any personal information we collect. The following applies to information collected through cookies on cyray.io:

  • Data controller: CyRay, operating cyray.io (“we,” “our,” or “CyRay”)
  • What we collect: Browsing behavior, pages visited, time spent on pages, general geographic location (country/city level), device type, browser type, and IP address (anonymized where possible).
  • Why we collect it: To understand how visitors use our website, to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and to improve our content and user experience.
  • Your obligation: You are not legally required to provide this information. Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are only placed with your active consent. Refusing them will not affect your ability to use the site.
  • Who we share it with: Google LLC (USA) for analytics and tag management; LinkedIn Corporation (USA) for marketing measurement. See Section 4 for full details.
  • International transfers: Some of your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. These providers operate under adequacy frameworks and contractual safeguards consistent with Israeli privacy requirements.

We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage, which function in a comparable way. This policy covers all of them.

04Third-Party Services & International Transfers

Some cookies are set by third-party services that process data on their own infrastructure, which may be located outside Israel:

  • Google LLC (USA) - Google Analytics for website analytics. Data is processed under Google's standard contractual clauses. You may opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • LinkedIn Corporation (USA) - LinkedIn Insight Tag for marketing measurement and retargeting. You can opt out in your LinkedIn account under Settings & Privacy → Data privacy.

By consenting to analytics and marketing cookies, you agree to the transfer of your data to these processors in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in Israel.

05Your Rights Under Israeli Law

The Israeli Protection of Privacy Law grants you the following rights regarding personal information we hold about you:

Right to Review Section 13, PPL

You have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable time at no charge for the first request in any 12-month period.

Right to Correct or Delete Section 14, PPL

If any information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct or delete it. We will action such requests promptly.

Right to Withdraw Consent

You may withdraw consent to non-essential cookies at any time using our cookie banner or through your browser settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.

Right to Object

You may object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing at any time. We will stop processing for that purpose immediately upon receiving your request.

06Data Security & Minimization

We apply measures consistent with the Privacy Protection (Data Security) Regulations, 2017, and Amendment 13 to the PPL (effective August 2025):

  • Data minimization: We only collect cookie data genuinely necessary for the stated purpose.
  • Retention limits: Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics. We periodically purge data no longer needed.
  • Security measures: We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
  • IP anonymization: Google Analytics is configured to anonymize IP addresses before storing or processing them.

07Managing Your Cookies

You have several ways to control cookies:

  • Our consent banner: When you first visit cyray.io, a banner will ask for your consent to non-essential cookies. Change your preferences at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
  • Browser settings: You can configure your browser to block or delete all cookies. Instructions: Chrome (Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies), Firefox (Settings → Privacy & Security), Safari (Settings → Privacy), Edge (Settings → Cookies and site permissions).
  • Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • LinkedIn opt-out: Manage retargeting preferences in your LinkedIn account under Settings & Privacy → Data privacy.

08Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Effective” date above. Non-essential cookies will always require fresh consent after a material change.
